Abstract
Composite titanium dioxide (TiO2)-zeolite sheets were prepared using papermaking technique in which the dual polymer retention system was applied. The sheets were tested with regards to their ability to remove acetaldahyde, formaldehyde and toluene which are typical indoor pollutants, NOx which causes air pollution and bisphenol A which is suspected of an endocrine disrupter. It has become apparent that the combination of zeolite and TiO 2 is a useful method to remove the environmental pollutants. This is because photocatalytic decomposition of the pollutants concentrated on zeolite can efficiently be achieved by TiO2.
