Abstract

Heat capacity measurements have been carried out on a heavy fermion compound YbAs down to 0.2 K under pressure up to 5 kbar. A sharp peak due to the antiferromagnetic transition is observed at 0.51 K at ambient pressure. As pressure increases, the peak shifts slightly to higher temperatures with a decreasing of its height.
