PTCR-like property in non-equilibrium nonlinear conductance of epitaxial BaTiO3 films

Abstract

We report a new effect in the current conduction through ferroelectric films: an effect similar to the positive-temperature-coefficient-of-resistance (PTCR). Here, we use mostly the lattice-mismatched epitaxial heterostructure BaTiO3/(La,Sr)2CuO4. The results should provide an insight into the new class of the thin-film PTCR.
