Reccurent Hemoptysis as the Presenting Symptom in a Case with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Abstract

A 65-year-old-man, who had been diagnosed as having idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, presented with chronic productive cough and reccurent episode of infection. He developed hemosputum and hemoptysis, and was treated with bronchial arterial embolization repeatedly. This is the first report of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis accompanying reccurent hemoptysis.
