Abstract

The generation of an elliptical gaussian beam for an antenna for the large helical device is discussed. Numerical and experimental results on a square corrugated waveguide and parallel corrugated plates and its combination are described. It is shown that the parallel corrugated plates provide a good performance for the elliptical gaussian beam.
