Abstract

Synthesis of a symmetrical [60]fullerene indenide, unsymmetrical indenides R2R′C60- (B,C), and unsymmetical cyclopentadienides was studied. It was observed that penta-addition reactions almost always give only the penta-addition product. It was found that besides the organic products, metallic copper forms partly as a black solid and partly as a copper mirror.
