Abstract

To clarify the origin of discrepancies among reports on the work-hardening rate without the dynamic restoring effect and the softening rate without the work hardening effect, the two parameters have been measured by three different techniques: stress change, strain rate change and stress relaxation tests. It is concluded that disagreements are caused by differences in production history of the specimens.
