Abstract
In recent years, in the development of unconventional resources such as oil sand and shale gas are being classified into the conventional resources using breakthrough of well-drilling technology, such as a horizontal wells and hydraulic fracturing. These technologies have been transferred to commercial productions of oil and gas. Engineering on producing mineral and fuel energy reserves at underground, below the sea bottom and beneath the seabed to the surface is referred to as “Mining and Petroleum Engineering”primarily focused on resource development and production systems that take into account economic efficiency, safety, and environmental preservation. These include methods of estimating the potential quantity of resources (ore and energy reserves) from distributions of grade or saturation as well as excavation and transportation systems. In this micro review, some researches on unconventional resource development and CCS were introduced.
