Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new actuation system for magnetic beads or particles. Magnetic beads were precisely actuated as a rotator, which could be used for a pumping system. The magnetic beads were set on a round base which periodically embedded magnetic beads on the surface, and were actuated by magnetic interaction force excreted by a rotating magnetic field. We show theoretical background and demonstrate actuation using a 3D-printed sample. Also, we tried to use the present system as a pumping system.
