Abstract
Nine seismic isolation concepts and corresponding isolation devices for fast breeder reactor (FBR) were evaluated, and promising seismic isolation concepts were selected. A tentative design spectum was proposed on the basis of seismic observation records taken on bedrock. Then, each plant concept was evaluated on the basis of the result of seismic response analysis. Finally, the design of isolation system was developed for the selected seismic isolation concept in some detail.
