Abstract

Sweet selection: Stereoselective recognition of carbohydrates has now been achieved by a receptor self-assembled through hydrogen bonds. The receptor, which is present as a racemic mixture of the P and M helices, is amplified in the mixture by the addition of a chiral guest (see schematic representation).
