Abstract

We newly propose shuffle converter which scales optical switch toward over 1,000 port count by using 3D waveguide of MCF / SMF ribbon fan-in fan-out configuration. The principle device showed sufficient crosstalk of less than -57.4 dB, and insertion loss of 2.1 dB successfully.
