Abstract

We developed the pneumatic valve-assisted atto-liter chamber array devices for quantitative investigation of enzymatic kinetics at the single molecular level. We fabricated chambers in the size ranges from a cell (fL) down to the subcellular organelle (aL) with and without inner-surface coating. The devices enable us to investigate quantitatively the effects of molecular confinement and surface coating on the single molecular enzymatic kinetics even at aL level.
