Abstract
In this paper, as a part of IACG Campaign #2, we present a multi-satellite study of an event in which solar wind discontinuities encountered the magnetosphere. The observations are consistent with local reconnection between the flank magnetosphere and a solar wind region sandwiched by two discontinuities. Draping of the interplanetary magnetic field onto the magnetosphere is important in causing favorable conditions for the reconnection.
