Abstract

The nanoworm that turned: The self-assembly of a novel charged metal-containing diblock copolymer gives soluble nanoworms, which pack into two-dimensional arrays to form nanopatterned surfaces (see picture; Ma,Maa=Fe, Zn, Cu, Co). The propensity of nanostructured metal-organic frameworks to form bulk crystals is thus overcome.
