Abstract
The spatial and temporal behavior of electron density and electron temperature in a micro-discharge plasma for a coplanar AC-plasma display panel (PDP) cell was studied. The spatial distributions of electron density and electron temperature of a micro-discharge plasma for an AC-PDP cell were measured by using the laser Thompson scattering method. The results showed that the scattered spectrum reflected the Doppler motion of individual electrons and the scattered intensity was proportional to the electron density.
