Abstract

The time-of-flight-type neutral particle analyzer, which was able of horizontal continuous scanning during long discharges, was operated in large helical device. Experiments for the comparison between the co- and counter neutral beam injection were performed. It was found that the particle with large pitch angle was lost in the counter injection from the spectrum of the pitch angle distribution of the neutral particles.
