    Abstract

Polyoxometalates [SiM12O40]4− (M = MoVI, WVI) and hemicyanine-derived chiral amphiphiles self-assemble in organic media where intermolecular interactions between POMs and hemicyanine units differ depending on the constituent metal ion species: this information is amplified to distinct spectral and self-assembling characteristics.
