Abstract

The (d,2He) reactions on 24Mg, 26Mg and 28Si were studied at Ed = 270 MeV. The 0o cross sections obtained for the 1+ states from the 24Mg,28Si(d,2He) reactions show a good correlation with those from the mirror (p,n) reactions. Four peaks were identified in the 26Mg(d,2He)26Ne reactions as being due to the 1+ excitation. The B(GT+) values for these transitions were estimated and compared with the shell model prediction.
