Abstract

The spread-spectrum Markovian-code acquisition in asynchronous DS/CDMA systems was discussed. The success rate of acquisition and bit error rate (BER) of the correlator using an accumulated version of the serial search acquisition were analyzed. The analysis showed that in a quasi-synchronous state Markov sequences were inferior to Gold sequences in terms of both the acquisition rate and BER.
