    Abstract

We investigate viscous fingers under the influence of surface tension anisotropy. Steady solutions in a channel are numerically solved using the Newton method. We study relations among the tip velocity v, the tip radius ρ and the pressure gradient Px. Power law relations are found in a parameter range, but the anisotropic viscous fingers do not always satisfy the relations such as υρ2 = const. satisfied by dendrites in crystal growth.
