Abstract
Structural, transport and magnetic properties of R1-xA xMnO3-δ (R=La, Nd, A=Ce) thin films fabricated by PLD method when varying ambient atmosphere were investigated. For La 0.9Ce0.1MnO3 (LCeMO) films, when increasing the oxygen pressure the Curie temperature increased and the metal-insulator transition peak emerged around 200 K. In addition, thermopower measurement identified the majority carriers within LCeMO films to be holes, which is consistent with experimental trends on transport and magnetic properties. Furthermore, this study has first succeeded fabrication of Nd 1-xCexMnO3 (NCeMO) thin films without impurities on the XRD data. The crystallinity of NCeMO films tends to be improved for reduction ambient atmosphere.
