Abstract

The magnetic field canceling system used for the open ends of cylindrical magnetic shields was studied. A high-performance cylindrical magnetic shield with open-ends was constructed using Co-based amorphous tapes. The results showed that simple active canceling system was suitable for building a compact magnetic shielding system for biomagnetic field measurements.
