In the heavy-ion radiotherapy, secondary neutrons are produced by nuclear reactions along the primary beam. The risk of second cancer induction is under con- siderable discussion. It is needed to develop a Monte-Carlo simulation tool to estimate neutron doses and the photon contribution. In the present work, we conducted exper- iments at the synchrotron HIMAC of NIRS, Japan. First, we measured energy-angle double-differential cross sections of neutron and γ-ray productions in nuclear reactions. Secondly, neutron doses were measured in a 3D tissue-equivalent phantom.
