Study of the slepton nonuniversality at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

Abstract

In supersymmetric theory, the sfermion-fermion-gaugino interactions convert a sfermion into a fermion in the same chiral multiplet. The effect appears as the asymmetry between [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] distributions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider where jets ([Formula Presented]) and leptons ([Formula Presented]) arise from the cascade decay [Formula Presented]. Furthermore, the decay branching ratios and the charge asymmetries in [Formula Presented] distributions are flavor nonuniversal due to the [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] mixing. When [Formula Presented] is large, the nonuniversality between [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] becomes [Formula Presented] level. We perform a Monte Carlo simulation for some minimal supergravity benchmark points to demonstrate the detectablity.
