Abstract

Many research papers have been published on the potential effects of indoor environmental quality of in classrooms and offices on productivity. This paper (Part 1) gives an outline of the series of this study and reports the results of field measurements focusing on the effect of the air quality and thermal environments on learning efficiency, with differences in ventilation rate. It also evaluates the consistency between objective and subjective evaluations of learning efficiency.
