Abstract

The structural factors of a saccharide link in an energy-transfer system using porphyrinatozinc-porphyrin couples and an electron-transfer system using porphyrinatozinc-anthraquinone couples have been estimated: it was found that the structural change in the saccharide scarcely affects the efficiency of the former system but does affect that of the latter system.
