Superconducting technology innovating electric power system

Electric power system has been mainly progressed by improvement of conventional technology. However, it is well known that the improvement has become more difficult now days, since it has been already fully improved, and new power technology has been researched. Superconducting technology is one of the best candidate which can innovate electric power system. The paper introduces the progress in Superconducting power generator project at ETL first, the superconducting power network system and superconducting power device technology including current limiter device as the next innovating electric power system. And also the paper proposes general concept of high field superconducting conductor for fusion magnets, and superconducting bearings as other superconducting application.
