Synchronous THz wave combiner consisting of arrayed photomixers

Abstract

We propose a power combiner of the synchronous terahertz waves for generating a higher coherent terahertz output power. The combiner consists of arrayed photomixers with bowtie-antennas. The experimental results show terahertz waves synchronized by the combiner results sum of the powers from photomixers and the directional gain of about 2 dB.
