title = "Synthesis and anion conductivity of anion-exchange membrane with fused expanded pyridinium structure as cationic moiety",
abstract = "We develop a cationic polymer that contains a fused expanded pyridinium (FEP) moiety with a large planar π-conjugated system. This new FEP monomer is synthesized via photochemical pericondensation of a bromo-substituted FEP precursor, and subsequent introduction of the vinyl group. The polymers show a conductivity of 55.2 and 23.7mScm11 at 80% relative humidity and 80°C for OH1 and Cl1 forms, respectively. Weak interactions between the FEP cation and anions might be the reason for high anion conductivity.",
