Abstract

It has been reported that CT complexes showed different liquid crystal phases depending on the strength of CT interactions using disk-shaped molecules. It is therefore expected that liquid crystal phases can be controlled by changing strength of CT interaction with redox reaction. In this study, we investigated CT interaction of rod-shaped molecules in which an electron donor and an electron acceptor are linked by a flexible chain.
