Abstract

Horizontally aligned ZnO nanowires have been successfully grown on the annealed a-cut sapphire substrate using catalyst-free nanoparticle-assisted pulsed-laser deposition, and an UV photosensor was fabricated using the horizontally-aligned ZnO nanowires.
