### Abstract

The tensor analysing power A_{yy} was measured for the ^{12}C(d, ^{2}He)^{12}B reaction at E_{d}=70 MeV. A DWBA calculation well reproduces the experimental data for Delta l=0 transition to the 1^{+} ground state of ^{12}B. For the transition to the 2^{-} excited state via Delta l=1, the predicted curve assuming 2^{-} is closer to the data than that assuming either 0 ^{-} or 1^{-}. The same calculation also favours 2^{-} in analysing the previous data on the vector analysing power. These results suggest the usefulness of the simultaneous measurements of vector and tensor analysing powers. The dependence of A_{yy} on the final-state spin predicted by the present DWBA calculation is similar to that predicted by the PWIA theory.
