Abstract

New acceptor-donor-acceptor-structured π-extended narrow-band-gap molecules based on tetrathienoanthracene were designed and synthesized. Organic solar cells based on bulk-heterojunction blends of these molecules with PC61BM showed high open-circuit voltages of up to 0.97 V.
