The current diagnosis situation of neurosis in China: Comparison with ICD-10 and DSM-IV

Abstract

Neurosis, which is a kind of very common disease in psychiatric disorder, had not been found as a special headline in ICD-10 and DSM-IV, but it is still be used widespreadly in China. We introduce the differences of this concept among Chinese Fundamental Textbook of Psychiatry, the ICD-10 and DSM-IV. As one kind of the diagnosis of neurosis in China, neurasthenia had been paid much attention by the psychiatrists in the world. It is clarified here especially from the aspects of its history and development in China.
