Abstract

A novel type of polymersome formed through a self-assembly of polyion complex of block copolymers was firstly designed as "PICsome". The PICsome can be simply prepared in an aqueous solution via electrostatic interaction between a pair of the oppositely charged block copolymers. A series of copolymers was newly synthesized, and the polymer assemblies were prepared and investigated.
