N2 - We investigated the effect of amorphization on the mobility of the 2-methylimidazolate linkers in ZIF-8. Solid-state 2H NMR studies revealed that amorphization significantly affects the mobility of the linkers, including the rotational angle and speed. Furthermore, a new intermediate librational mode appeared in amorphous ZIF-8.
