Abstract
Zn was introduced to La 1-xSr x-ScO 3-δ as a B-site dopant. The addition of Zn markedly improved the sinterability of the material, and a dense sinter could be synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. Although conductivity was slightly decreased by the addition of Zn, it was shown that La 1-xSr xSc 1-yZn yO 3-δ is a useful electrolyte material for intermediate-temperature fuel cells.
