Abstract

Oxidative addition of allylic substrates to coordinatively unsaturated ruthenium(II), (n5-C5Me5)Ru(amidinate) complexes, afford cationic ruthenium(IV) compounds, [(n5-C5Me5)Ru(amidinate)(n3-allyl)]+, which have been characterized by spectroscopic analysis and X-ray structure determination.
