N2 - We investigated the effects of the packing condition in columns on the sample diffusion. Fabricating micropillar array columns with different arrangement of structures made it possible to control the packing homogeneity. The columns showed that packing homogeneity in local area of the column is more significant factor on the sample diffusion in a low velocity region than the packing homogeneity in the entire column.
