The influence of thermal property of the polymer on the polymer-stabilized blue phase

Abstract

Polymer-stabilized blue phases (PSBP) have been studied intensively in recent years for the great potentials in display devices or optical modulator. In this sturdy, a relationship between polymer relaxation property and the stability of BP was investigated based on differential scanning calorimetory (DSC) and polarizing optical micrograph. The stability of PSBP was increased by depressing the thermal molecular motion of the polymer networks in the BP.
