Abstract

Three species of the anthocorid genus Xylocoris Dufour are reported from rice mills in southern Thailand. They are considered effective biological control agents against stored-product insect pests. Two of them, belonging to the subgenus Proxylocoris Carayon, are described as new: X. cerealis Yamada and Yasunaga, n. sp., and X. hyalinipennis Yamada and Yasunaga, n. sp. A key is provided to help distinguish these species.
