Abstract

We study the tunneling of Dirac electrons in graphene passing through Cantor-like electrostatic and electromagnetic potentials. It is found that transmittance can be expressed theoretically using the Chebyshev polynomial of the second kind. A self-similar structure is observed in the transmittance. When a magnetic field is applied, the Klein tunneling disappears; however, the self-similarity of transmittance is maintained. The self-similarity of transmittance contributes to the complex behavior of conductance.
