Abstract

The microstructure of low pressure plasma sprayed (LPPS) CoNiCrAlY coating is investigated by TEM to show that the characterization is effective for examining the spray mechanism. Microstructural characterizations by TEM and micro Vickers hardness test are carried out on the NiCrAlY raw powder material and the LPPS coating. The microstructure and the mechanical properties of the raw powder material are compared with those of the coating in the investigation of spray mechanism.
