Abstract

We describe two distinct noninclusive HLA-D specificities, HLA-DHO 1 and HLA-Dw2, which are in linkage with HLA-Drw2 and HLA-Bw52 in both Japanese and white populations. The data suggest that HLA-DR and HLA-D are separate entities; HLA-DR appears to play a more significant role in the priming process and in conferring the specificity to the secondary primed lymphocyte test (PLT) reactions.
