Abstract

The early dynamics of photo-induced phase transition in charge-ordered organic salt (EDO-TTF)2PF6 was investigated using ultrashort near-infrared laser pulses. The gigantic photo-response (DR/R>100 %) characteristic to the insulator-to-metallic phase transition was observed <50-fs after excitation.
