Abstract

in our current research, we defined a ubiquitous learning log as a digital record of what a learner has learned in the daily life using ubiquitous technologies. A system named SCROLL was developed to support logging, organizing, recalling and evaluating learners' learning logs. Learners have to record their learning activities and register them to SCROLL consciously and most of learning chances are lost. This paper proposes a system named PA CALL (Passive Capture for Learning Log) to solve this problem. We introduced SenseCam to help learners record their learning activities unconsciously and help them review captured photos and upload to SCROLL. We even use image processing to filter the bad photos and find similar photos to help learner have a better reflection of life logs and find important learning content. Besides, CPS unit is also used in this system.
