N2 - The available data rate of wavelength reuse WDM-PON using gain saturation of semiconductor optical amplifier can be enhanced by spectral trimming through a Fabry-Perot etalon. Experiments on 10-Gbps bidirectional transmission reveal the condition on downstream signals required for system realization.
