3D microfabrication of silver nanoparticle composite with mesoporous structure

A novel 3D assembly of silver nanoparticles was achieved by microstereolithography and annealing of a polymer-nanoparticle composite. Fundamental experiments were conducted to assess the feasibility of fabricating 3D microparts with a mesoporous structure. Silver nanoparticles mixed with a polymer were used for nanostructure fabrication. SEM observation showed that a mesoporous structure with gradient variation of nanoparticle aggregation was formed after the composite was annealed at 340 °C for 30 min. Thus, the feasibility of fabricating 3D microparts with a mesoporous structure was confirmed experimentally.
