A 10-year-old girl presented with a tender papule on her left instep. Six months after the papule had been excised, another papule appeared near the site of the operation scar. Histopathologically, sections from both papules showed common features such as multiple nodular structures composed of bundles of peripheral nerves in the dermis. Small axons were also found among the bundles. This was therefore considered to be a case of spontaneous neuromas of the skin.
